Oct. 17th at Castaic Lake in Santa Clarita using live bait thread fin shad. Yesterdays clients Dale and Mac Oct. 16th with their 4 largest bass at CASTAIC Lake in Santa Clarita. Here I am reeling them in Tues. Oct. 15th! We are catching lots of largemouth bass at CASTAIC Lake in Santa Clarita! Using live bait thread fin shad it will only be around for another month..month and a half depending on weather. Best to get out NOW while they are so active!! Its a blast knowing you have one on the line and feeling the "twitch twitch" as its eating your bait then waiting just a moment before the hook set and fight! Marc coached me the whole time, I don't get to the lake to often. Yes I did miss a couple too. You can feel if you have a bigger one than the last one you caught its a exciting feeling! The water is so clear you can see lots of fish and searching for bait and admiring the towering mountains that your nestled in is quite beautiful the layers of rocks was interesting along with cute little birds that live on the rocky mountain side. It was a great day! David with a red ear perch Monday Oct. 14th Lake CASITAS in Ojai using a live night crawler. Tim at Castaic Lake Wed. Oct. 9th had a little rain today on the water.
